Dress (ASOS) UNDER $20! | Sneakers (Chanel)

Sooo, it’s been a minute! As usual, when life gets too busy ThePreppyMAG falls by the waste-side and it makes me feel TERRIBLE. Not only do I hate leaving all of you hanging, but not having ThePreppyMAG as a creative outlet, really impacts my everyday. This especially kills me when I have the content ready to go, but lack the time to make it perfect. I love being a part of this little (not-so-little) blogger community but having nothing to contribute on the daily is so uninspiring.

Finally after a marathon of a month, I’m ready to get back to ThePreppyMAG and back to a normal lifestyle. I’ve been so overwhelmed and inundated with work that I haven’t had a second to workout, eat healthy, hangout with friends, etcetera. Now that I’ll have a tiny bit more time on my hands I’m so excited to ramp up ThePreppyMAG and get back to feeling myself again.

This past weekend was the perfect start at getting back to my routine. I finally got to sleep in  (THANK GOD! 🙌), enjoyed date night with Tom, had a chance to grab drinks with friends, and of course have a good ole NYC brunch at Sadelle’s (seriously incredible if you haven’t tried it!). What I loved most about this weekend is that I tried 3 new places (of course, they were all restaurants 😛) that I’ve never been to. It made me realize that no matter how long I’ve lived here, there is new inspiration around ever corner in NYC. Just like this unexpected graffiti art featured in this photoshoot.

What I’m Wearing

Dress (ASOS) UNDER $20! | Sneakers (Chanel)

If you couldn’t tell, I’m having a total pink moment right now (see here and here). With these endless and dreary winter days, pink is the perfect color to brighten up your life and wardrobe. Not only does this bubblegum pink dress make me feel like Barbie, but it is also super comfortable and simple.

Since I work in a super casual workplace, I’m always looking for simple, easy and comfortable dresses that make me feel just a liiitttllee more dressed up than average. When the seasons started to change (wish it would hurry up a bit!), I bought this adorable drop-waste pink dress as well as this ruffled blue sweatshirt dress (UNDER $25!).

I am totally into the sneaker trend right now (see my favorites here), so I paired this causal sweatshirt dress with a pair of white and gold Chanel sneakers. Don’t worry, they were a gift! Definitely wouldn’t splurge on this on my own. That said, if you are looking for a quality, comfortable and stylish pair of kicks, I highly recommend this pair. If the price tag is a bit too high, see here, here and here for a similar pair!
