Woof, what a weekend! I actually can’t believe I have time to even write this blog post. From working 24/7, to driving four hours both ways to see Boston University beat Cornell University in the NCAA hockey championship and spending a night on long island it has been a complete whirlwind.

After a few weekends spent in the city and shooting with the wonderful Allie Provost and Victoria Saperstein, I forgot what it felt like to have a non-blogger weekend catching up on work for my day job and spending time with friends & family. On one hand it was super fulfilling and wonderful, on the other…I feel so behind and don’t feel SUPER confident that I’ll be able to catch up this week.

In other news, I’m very excited to share this outfit. I actually had a few more posts scheduled before this one, but I couldn’t wait because I’m in L-O-V-E with everything about this ensemble. As always, would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

What I’m Wearing

Okay, so all winter long I was 100% AGAINST the overall trend, but as soon as I set eyes on this baby I knew I had to have it. Even though overalls look super cute on everyone and they are totally having a moment right now, I knew that I’d realistically only wear them for a blog post. However, I’ve already worn this overall dress three times in the last two weeks. 🙈

When I started to look at my different overall options, I looked mostly at ASOS, Topshop, Madewell and Nordstrom. Topshop definitely had the most diverse collection because of the different embellishments and embroidered options. In fear of looking like a total farmer, I definitely wanted some embroidery to spice it up a little bit.

The second step in ‘spicing it up a bit’ was my bodysuit! At first, I was totally envisioning wearing a neutral colored sweater (maybe grey or navy) or my stripped turtleneck. It was actually Tom who suggested my pink ruffled bodysuit and it was ABSOLUTELY perfect. I loved how well it matched the pink in the embroidered flowers and the feminine ruffled details. If you think you have deja vu, it’s because I featured this bodysuit back in the Fall with a completely different look.

That said, did I feel like a kindergartener? Yes! But, I always feel that way when wearing bodysuits and the overalls just made it feel 10X worse!

washingtonsq-353Last but not least, I NEED to give these booties one last plug. I know I’ve been featuring them a lot lately (blog + instagram), but they are my serious favs. right now. Not to mention that they are on sale for less than $50 at Macy’s! They are super comfortable, versatile and fabulous, so I really don’t see why you wouldn’t want a pair in your closet. 😉
