Dress (ThePreppyMAG Boutique) | Handbag (Chanel)
Tights (Anthropologie) | Shoes (Christian Louboutin)
It feels so early to talk about New Year’s Eve, but since this dress is flying off the shelves I wanted to share sooner rather than later! Every year, my family and I head up to Stratton, VT to celebrate New Year’s Eve so I never get too, too, dressed-up, but I honestly can’t help myself when it comes to some NYE glam.
Whether you are someone who loves to get really dressed up and reserve bottle service for the night or enjoys a snuggly night in with family and friends, I believe your New Year’s Eve should sparkle one way or another. If you are a fan of the latter, consider investing in some glittery slippers (these are currently under $25!) and they’ll do the trick. 😉
In addition to sparkling on New Year’s Eve, the thing I love most about the night is that I’m lucky enough to spend it with family. Having such a big and close family, we are all impacted by every success, every sorrow and every movement in each other’s lives. Being together on this special day/night/week is a time for us all to reflect and together move forward in the best way possible.
What I’m Wearing

I can honestly say that pictures don’t do this dress justice! As soon as I saw it, I knew I loved how it sparkled and the long-sleeved, open-back silhouette, but it is even more gorgeous in person. Since I’m in the mountains for winter, I always try to go with something that is somewhat warmish and this dress does the trick.
Every stitch of this dress glistens gold making it the find for New Year’s Eve. For the big night, I’ll likely style it similar to how I have here with a black Chanel and black Louboutins, but I’ve already styled it with a pair of simple black booties for more casual occasions (I don’t know, maybe like Christmas or something?!).
If you are wondering how this dress fits, the answer is ‘very generous.’ I’m wearing a small here, but I could have definitely sized down to an extra small. It is super comfortable and billowy, making it perfect for a post-holiday season night out. 😳 The cinched waist is completely elastic so it feels customized to each body type and person.
If the comfortable and generous fit wasn’t enough for me to L-O-V-E this dress, the open-back makes it an absolute home run. Not only does this provide some amazing ventilation in the inevitable sweat I’ll be working up on the dance floor, I also get to live that #nobra life or use a sticky petal situation, which I find surprisingly comfortable in these times of need.
So, what do you think?! Will you be wearing ThePreppyMAG Boutique this New Year’s Eve?
