It’s been a minute since our last Skincare Sunday but I’ve been busy testing and trying products all quarantine. Since I haven’t really been going anywhere, it has been a good time to try things that may not necessarily end well. Lucky for me, that is not the case for the product I’m sharing with you today.

So many of my friends rave about Drunk Elephant but these are actually the first products I’ve ever tried from them. Since this was the first time I was trying, this duo was perfect as it gives you just a taste of two products that could easily become go-tos for a very reasonable price ($23).

The first is their C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum (orange packaging), which uses antioxidants, nutrients, and fruit enzymes to brighten skin and improve signs of pre-mature aging. The other is there B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum, which replenishes complexion and improves the look of skin texture and tone. With a small squirt of each in your palm, the two work together to wake-up your skin every morning.

What I Love: I’m obsessed with the B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum. I’m a sucker for a good hydrating moisturizer (see here, here, and here) but given the nature of serum in general, you get so much more out of a squirt than a full-fledged moisturizer. With a small dose, your face feels completely replenished whether it is feeling dry or not. I’ve ordered the full-sized version and have been using the hell out it after coming in from the beach. Actual product aside, I’m also loving the bright and clean packaging. It looks so beautiful in my vanity.

The Watchouts: I try to keep negative reviews to myself as often as possible but I am just not a fan of the C-Firm Vitamin C Day Serum in this duo. I originally bought this duo because I was specifically looking for a Vitamin C serum. I’m a huge fan of Vitamin C serums and consider them an essential part of my morning routine, but I couldn’t get into this one. While it was definitely effective, my face felt tighter and brighter after using it, I did not like the smell of the product (so fruity, it smelt like candy) and it had an extremely sticky texture. Not to mention the price is $80, which is definitely steep for a serum.
