Romper (ThePreppyMAG Boutique)

Bag (Vivrelle) | Shoes (Christian Louboutin)

Back to reality today after a lovely long holiday weekend. This weekend with family went far too quickly and I’m SO thankful that we only have 3 weeks until we’re all back together again.

With the holiday season is in FULL SWING, I’m already thinking about what I’m going to wear on NYE. I’m always up in Vermont for New Year’s, which means I don’t get to wear something quite as fancy as this, but if I was spending the holiday in New York City, this is exactly what I’d be wearing.

Before I committed myself to the ski bunny life, I was obsessed with being glittery for New Year’s Eve. I love starting off the year feeling and looking my best. As I’ve gotten older (and slightly more mature), I’ve re-imagined my favorite glittery looks. For a while there, it was all sequins everything, but now it is all about a tasteful level of glitter. This romper hits the nail on the head.

If you couldn’t tell, this year, I’m all about velvet, making this romper a true favorite. I love that it is long-sleeves and with a good pair of opaque tights, this romper is definitely winter appropriate. The subtle glitter polka-dots give this romper just the right amount of NYE flair without being too over-the-top.

Now, let’s talk about logistics. Two things that I absolutely L-O-V-E about this romper are:

(1) you can wear a normal bra with it. The back has a keyhole cutout but it isn’t so low that you need to wear stickies or anything uncomfortable like that.

(2) the front is completely adjustable to your bust. I don’t have much to show for myself so there is a tiny snap to keep the deep-V on lock. However, if you are a bit more busty, the snap isn’t necessary and the deep-V will stay up completely on its own.

Last but not least, accessories! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I like to keep it simple. However, in this outfit, I threw in a few pops of red with my Gucci bag from Vivrelle and the soles of my Christian Louboutins to make it festive. However, I’m a huge fan of how Tiffany styled this look. I love her OTK boots and her Gucci belt that brings a bit of edge to the outfit.

Okay, have I convinced you that this is exactly what you need to be wearing this NYE? I’m going to be in the mountains and I want to wear this romper on NYE. Head to ThePreppyMAG Boutique now to snag one of your own.
