We’re in the final stretch towards Christmas and I don’t know about you but I feel like I have 1 BILLION things to do before I’m sitting around the tree on Christmas morning. Every year, things get so busy before the holidays with shopping for gifts, planning outfits for every holiday party, finishing up work before the end of the year, the list can go on and on, that I almost forget about the actual day.

Sure, I know that we’ll wake up on Christmas morning and have all of our family traditions, my mom will have the house dressed to the nines, and my grandma will cook us our traditional Christmas dinner. BUT, just before I get ready to transition from Christmas morning coziness to semi-formal Christmas dinner, panic sets in. What am I going to wear?

I always want to be comfortable because it is going to be just family but also festive and proper to respect the formal dinner that my mom and grandma work so hard to put together for our family, which makes it even harder to find that perfect outfit. That is why I’m saving you the trouble and sharing an outfit that you can literally buy right now and it will be on your doorstep before Christmas Eve with the help of Amazon Prime.

A few years back, Tom bought me this dress around the holidays and it honestly sat in my closet for a bit. This is one of those dresses that looks like it is for supermodels when you’re not wearing it. It shrinks up to something 4 inches wide so as someone who isn’t really into tight dresses, I never seemed to grab it. I was SO wrong. Not only do I find this dress super flattering, but it is also extremely cozy and I guess it’s shrinking habit is good in case you’re doing any traveling 😂. Even though it is a tighter fit, the dress’s ribbed texture smoothes out any unwanted curves. Not to mention the dress is under $20!

While it definitely didn’t need it, I broke up the silhouette of the dress with a gold bow. I’m someone who is a little self-conscious around the tummy area so I like a good distraction, not to mention how festive the bow is and I wanted to match the gorgeous Cartier store on 5th Ave.

I’m pairing this simple dress with navy tights to make it feel a little less formal. I don’t know why but I always feel like black tights can feel very corporate and the navy is a bit more relaxed. I’ve also been digging the navy and red combo this season as you can see reflected in this post as well.

Okay, so you only have a few hours (days) left to lock down what you are going to wear and you know that you’re going to run out of time and be left in that same state of panic as I . mentioned above (just like you did last year!), so save yourself some worry and shop this simple & easy look below. 😘
