Sandles (Jack Rogers) | Sunnies (ilymix– Get $15 off!)

Happy 4th of July, everyone! I hope everyone is somewhere sunny today, enjoying family and friends. Today, I’m in the Hamptons with my family, a few of my best friends, and my little Duncan, so I am definitely one happy camper.

When it comes to 4th of July style, you can usually find me in a festive bathing suit laying poolside. My favorite one is this red ruffled bikini from J.Crew. I bought it a few years ago and it has been a go-to. I find it one of the most flattering bathing suits that I own AND it’s on sale today! 🙌

As soon as the sun goes down, you can find me in something that looks very similar to this ensemble featured here. If you are headed out to celebrate today, here are the 3 things you need to consider before you get dressed.

1| Keep it Cool. If today will be anything like last night, it’s going to be a HOT one. Seriously, find the coolest thing in your closet and wear that. Last night, I was SWEATING as I was getting dressed and choose this easy, breezy maxi dress and it was one of the best ideas. If you take this tip, I promise you that you won’t regret it.

2| Red, White & Denim. Are you even American if you don’t dress in stars & stripes on the 4th of July?! You decide! Either way, incorporating denim into your ensemble is an easy way to dress festively without being too over-the-top. If you have a red top just pair it with some jean shorts (or in this case overalls) and a white headband and you have yourself a holiday-perfect outfit.

3| Sparkly stables. Incorporate some fireworks into your outfit with some metallic accessories. Whether it be a glistening pair of Jack Rogers or even a pair of mirrored sunglasses, this added shine will complete your holiday look. My personal fave or these golden hoops from Tinilux, the first luxury jewelry line for sensitive ears.

So, are you ready for a great day?! I hope everyone enjoys and has a very safe 4th of July!
