Happy Monday! Who else is excited about the short week ahead? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ As for me, I’m working remotely from my parents’ house in the Hamptons and it feels like high school Summer vacation all over again. And to be very honest, it was the best idea I’ve had all year. There is just something about waking up in your parents’ house, right?!
With the 4th of July right around the corner, this weekend was very lowkey making this outfit the go-to uniform. Word on the street (AKA, Pinterest Trends) is that this color yellow is called Rebel Yellow and it’s about to be BIG (think Millennial Pink, but yellow) so I knew I needed to splurge all 10 dollars that this bodysuit cost. I picked this bodysuit up from H&M on Friday and after wearing it all day on Saturday, I immediately bought it in this adorable blue and white pattern. It is a jersey knit material so it is SUPER comfortable and can be easily dressed up and down.
As pictured here, I paired this bodysuit with an old pair of cut-off jean shorts I found in my drawer and of course, a knotted headband. A few things that you need to know about this outfit:
1| If you already own a pair of jean shorts, this outfit costs all of $20.
2| I’m not a big bodysuit person. I always think they are uncomfortable but I could practically sleep in this jersey knit one.
3| Headbands are just a part of my head now. I think I’m compensating for the decade between the Gossip Girl finale and this summer.
This is how I wore the bodysuit during the day but once the evening rolled around and I was too lazy to pick out an entirely new outfit 🤷🏻‍♀️, I threw on a pair of high-waisted jeans (currently on sale) and my espadrilles and I was ready for a night out.
Given this color is on the rise, I jumped at this amazing headband. The silk texture and perfectly-sized knot is everything I needed and more (it also comes in hot pink, which I’m seriously considering). While yes, it matched this bodysuit impeccably, I can also see myself sporting this it with all of the harvest hues come Fall.
Love this body suit! Such a perfect summer piece.
And so cheap! Happy you found something you love. 🙂
