Another Monday! Hopefully a good amount of you have today off for Columbus Day to recoup from this weekend. Unfortunately, I’m back in the office, but I got PLENTY of rest this weekend. I spent this weekend catching up on sleep, tidying up the apartment and brunching with one of my best friend’s from high school, Lauren.

This might be weird, but the rest I got this weekend was actually really inspiring. It reminded me how important it is to sleep and indulge in some me-time. Things have definitely been busy at work, on the blog, and in life in general and it is so easy to feel like quitting. When I say quit, I don’t actually mean quitting your job. I mean saying ‘no’ to a new project or only giving 100% into your work instead of your usual 110%. ‘Quitting’ can actually be very different depending on the individual and when you are tired, burnt-out or maybe just having a bad day, it can feel so easy.

This week, I want to challenge you to ‘rest’ every time you feel like quitting. Instead of sending that email before proofreading or saying ‘no’ to that new project take a rest before making that decision. I can almost guarantee you that a little ‘rest’ (taking a walk around the block, taking the night off from work, taking a mental health day), will help you feel more motivated and energized to create the great and amazing work that you are known for!

Happy resting!
