Yesterday marked the first day of summer and that means that it is officially rooftop season! If you live in New York City or any urban city, you know this is the season that we LIVE for. After a winter hiding inside in apartments that are way too small, all we want to do is enjoy the great outdoors and of course, we prefer a great view.
Rooftop season is such a science. My first few years in the city, I was such a sucker for those midtown rooftop traps. Now, I’ve narrowed it down to my favorites and it is all dependant on my mood–

December’s best-seller is back! BUT, this time it is in lavender, one of the season’s trending colors! Some are even saying it might be the next millennial pink. This is embarrassing, but I still have a soft spot for the color lavender, because it is Sigma Kappa’s national color. 😂
I cannot rave about this top enough and wore it to death around the holidays. The cropped cut in the front is perfect for my high-waisted jeans or shorts (my personal preference, lately), but the over-sized bow is the perfect distraction from the skin that you may not be totally comfortable showing!
If you know me at you know how much of an advocate I am for Gap jeans! Seriously, I tell everyone I come in contact with how much of a fan that I am. They are super comfortable, every style fits impeccably, and the quality is unmatched. These high-waisted, destroyed, medium-wash jeans are by far my favorite pair. I wear them at least once a week because they go perfectly with everything!
Now, before you run and go buy one of these tops, let’s talk about this Kate Spade bag. Unfortunately, it is no longer available, but I cannot recommend a white crossbody enough for summer. I’m constantly on the go in the summer and packing a white bag ensures that I have a bag to match any outfit that I pull out of my weekender. That said, when you are picking your white crossbody, make sure it is spacious (you know you’ll be on plenty adventures!) and durable (a leather one like this is super easy to clean!).
