What a week it has been so far! After a beautiful weekend at The U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, it was ROUGH getting back to work. Since this summer has been off to such a busy start, I haven’t truly felt those Sunday scaries or Monday blues that are extra harsh in the summer months. Until this week! It was such a struggle to get back into the grove of things, and of course, things were the MOST busy.
That said, sometimes it takes an amazing weekend with even better weather to remind you that summer is f*cking here and we need to enjoy it. Thus far, I’ve spent far too many evenings at my desk instead of at rooftop happy hour or at a trending fitness class. So while things continue to be incredibly busy (lol just launching a clothing line over here), I’m also focusing on enjoying a summer juuusssttt a little bit more.

Inspired by New England’s summers, I present– ‘What You’re Wearing To Nantucket.’ Truth be told, I’ve actually never been to Nantucket, but have been to the Cape plenty of times and Nantucket is on this summer’s bucket list (and I’ll definitely be wearing this). However, after going to Boston University, I know a thing or two about New England style and gingham and bows are both very on trend.
This is one of those outfits that is 100% outside of my comfort zone. I rarely reach for a crop-top or tube-top, but the way this outfit comes together is totally adorable. The high-waisted bow shorts are the perfect compliment to the risque top and actually makes the top not so risque after all. My sister Tiffany, the blogger behind Talking at Tiffany’s, picked it out for the collection and I’m so happy she did.
Gingham is THE BEST, but also super hard to accessorize. It is a busy print and adding some ruffles and bows makes it 10X busier. That is why I usually go with simple retro accessories. This time around, I chose a little pop of red with red patent-leather Chanel flats and a pearled-denim jacket. Small rant– I can not rave about this denim jacket enough! Now that I’m living on the water (*hair flip*), this jacket has become a go-to for those breezy summer mornings.
The ‘What You’re Wearing To Nantucket‘ is by far one of my favorites pieces in the entire collection! It was one of the only pieces that I just couldn’t wait to wear before the official launch.
