It hit 80 degrees this weekend, so I think it is safe to say that spring has officially sprung in New York. This is definitely one of those awkward transition periods for fashion. There are days you can wear shorts and Jack Rogers and there are days you wish you didn’t stow away your sweater dresses. To account for these awkward few weeks, I put together a list of must-haves to make your mornings a little less stressful.

Cardigans. No matter the weather, I can guarantee that you’ll be freezing if you work in an office. As soon as the temperature outside reaches 75, we’re dealing with below 0 temps inside. I’ve always loved J.Crew’s collection of cardigans. Super simple and they have one to match every outfit. But, if you want something a bit more decorative, head to Kate Spade.

Ballet Flats. By far the best shoe option for this weather. I’m always torn between getting a few last wears out of my booties and hopping into my Jack Rogers. These weather is the perfect opportunity to break out the Tieks, Chanels, and Torys.

Skinny Jeans. This goes without saying, but there is nothing I love more than a pair of destroyed skinny jeans and sneakers in the spring. It is the comfiest look you can sport on the weekends (or even on a casual Friday ?). My favorites are from the Gap. They are seriously the perfect fit for my semi-curvey figure.

Sundresses. There is nothing better than slipping on the first sundress of the season. While nights are still brisk, I recommend picking one that is long-sleeved or at least 3/4-sleeved. This is my personal favorite for when your work day turns into a happy hour, which turns into an all-night banger.

Denim Jacket. This is actually something that I don’t even have, but it is on my wish list. This is a casual addition to any outfit. Whether it be your skinny jeans and sneakers combo or a t-shirt dress, a denim jacket has your back (literally) this spring. I’m personally thinking of picking up this one from Old Navy (under $35!).
