April was a whirlwind and I barely got any time to relax and do a few things for myself. I’ve promised myself that May would be a lot different. One thing I loved about blogging through the years, was that writing your plans + dreams down really makes you think about them more often. That’s why I love to make bucket lists over on here (1. 2. 3.). See below for my May bucket list that I already started to check a few things off of yesterday.

Stop + smell the cherry blossoms. There are so many beautiful spots in the city to see cherry blossoms at different times. A few weeks ago, the blossoms bloomed just outside our apartment in Battery Park but with a few late nights at work, I totally missed them. To make up for it, I trekked up to Central Park to see some late bloomers.

Enjoy a baseball game. It’s been years since I attended a baseball game in New York (we did go to one in Chicago over the Summer but it’s not the same!). This weekend, Tom and I went to a Mets game with his parents and it was blissful.

Kickoff rooftop season. The rooftop options in NYC may just be the best they’ve ever been. There are so many new (Panorama Room, The Public Hotel, and Electric Lemonade) rooftops that I’ve been dying to try as well as a few old ones (The Ready Rooftop, Broken Shaker, and Mr. Purple) that I can’t wait to get back to.

Tour the parks of NYC. The best and cheapest thing to do as the weather gets warmer is to tour NYC parks. I already checked Central Park off the list but also highly recommend an afternoon on the High Line, Battery Park (my hood) and Bryant Park.

Eat outside every chance I get. After eating outside for a year, I definitely kept it cozy this winter indoors. Now, I couldn’t be more excited to get back out there.

Brooklyn brewery tour. It’s been a few years since I toured the amazing breweries in Brooklyn, my favorite being Threes Brewing and Greenpoint Brewing. An afternoon at these breweries is truly revitalizing and good for the soul.

Up my exercise routine. My health has definitely taken a backseat while things were so crazy at work but now that things are slowing down (fingers crossed 🤞) and the weather is getting warmer, I couldn’t be more excited to get back in the game. Take all my favorite workout classes again, get back on the Peloton, and more.

Wedding planning. Wedding Planning. Wedding Planning. I took a whole month off of wedding planning for work (thanks to my amazing mom and wedding planner!). Now that April is over, it’s back to the grind and I’m truly looking forward to making some big decisions– invitations, florals, Tom’s tux, all the fun things.

Daily walks with Duncan. I obviously already do this every day but in the cold months, I’m embarrassed at how short they can be. Here’s to committing to take MUCH longer walks with the Dunc man.

Memorial Day Weekend in the Hamptons. THE grand finale! The Hamptons are truly my happy place and I think my mental health is naturally better in the Summer because of it. It all begins Memorial Weekend and I couldn’t be more excited.
