Another rainy day in New York and another reason to indulge in all things skincare. This week’s obsession is the new activated charcoal moisturizing bath bar from Yardley. I’m not usually a bar soap kind of girl, but this product is definitely changing hearts and minds in my apartment.
Growing up, my mom always bought Yardley London soap for each of the bathrooms in our house. We always used the oatmeal and lavender kinds, so I was super excited to try the new activated charcoal!
What I Love: Overall, I’ve been a huge fan of activated charcoal products lately. I love how you can actually feel the product purifying your skin as you use it. Right now, I’m only using this bath bar on my body in the shower and have actually been using it to lather my legs before and after I shave. It is almost the only soap that I’ve used that doesn’t result in razor burn. In addition to how moisturizing this product is, I love that it can be easily found at almost any drug store or even on Amazon.
Watch Outs: Like any charcoal beauty or skincare product, this is not a very ‘pretty’ product to use. Depending on how much you use, there may be a black residue left in your bath tub after you use it.
