Happy Saturday! I’m finally in the Hamptons and we can officially call it Summer! After the past few weeks of looking for an apartment and moving, I never thought that I would make it to this weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a TON to do back in the city, but a little weekend away was exactly what the doctor ordered.
As mentioned in yesterday’s post, ThePreppyMAG Boutique’s summer collection is officially out there in the world and for the first time ever selling SWIM! I’m actually head-over-heels in love with all of our swimsuits this season, but this one JUSTTTT might be my favorite. I hope you love it just as much as I do!

As soon as I saw this swimsuit, I knew that ThePreppyMAG Boutique just had to have it. The classic stripes and the pop-of-brightness yellow bows instantly brought me back to last summer’s trip to Lake Como. I’m not 100% sure why, but this suit just gives me European summer vibes. I think it might be because the yellow reminds me of Sorrento lemons limoncello.
I first tried this suit out for a spin back in May when I was visiting my grandfather in Boca, FL and it was PERFECT. It was the beginning of May and before I headed to the Bahamas, so my NYC-winter paleness was in its prime, making this monokini the best transition piece. I’m not a HUGE fan of one-pieces (though I’ve warmed up to them through the years), so I love how this monokini doesn’t really commit to being a one-piece OR a bikini. It truly lets you have the best of both worlds (ugh, I miss Hannah Montana!).
This is one of those suits that you throw in your bag for the weekend and know that you don’t need much more (other than your sun hat!). It is so easy to overpack for a weekend getaway, but bathing suits that can do double time as a faux outfit, are SO the way to go. Once I threw on a pair of high-waisted denim shorts (see my personal faves HERE), this was an ADORABLE breakfast/brunch outfit before hitting the pool or beach.
