Top (J.Crew) | Shorts (ASOS) | Shoes (Lilly Pulitzer)

Happy Monday ya’ll! Start of another busy and hectic week for me but I’m feeling rejuvenated from a family and fun filled weekend. Although I’m always doing 1 billion things, whether it be my actual job as a Social Marketing Manager, blogging or fundraising; I’m actually very easily stressed out. That said, I really try to unplug on the weekends and do what I love. That means being with my family shooting new outfits for the blog and exploring new places. This weekend, I was lucky enough to not even touch my computer (I have a feeling I’ll regret this), but I got to do all of the things I love! On Friday, I took a night to myself and turned it up at Soul Cycle, on Saturday Tom and I saw a Yankee v. Sox game, and Sunday I spent with my family for Mother’s Day. Does it get better than that?!

I’m so happy to have my little sister, Tiffany, home for the Summer because she is my all-time favorite photographer. In fact, she shot my first blog post ever in the very same location. It is so funny how far we’ve come since that first sweaty post-work photoshoot. This outfit is inspired by springtime on Long Island. Blue for the gorgeous beaches and floral for the breathtaking gardens. I swear if I could have the same job I do today and still live on Long Island, I would in a heartbeat. I’m obsessed with the quaint towns, the gorgeous gardens and the outstanding ocean views. Since yesterday was a bit colder than desired, I paired these shorts with a long-sleeved chambray shirt to keep warm.

Since yesterday was a bit colder than desired, I paired these shorts with a long-sleeved chambray shirt to keep warm. These shorts are already my springtime go-to. 1) The fact that they look like a skirt. It’s like the glamour of a skirt but the comfort of shorts. Definitely don’t need more than that. 2) The a-line style is always my favorite. As a curvy girl, I always gravitate towards because they are so much more flattering than tight booty shorts. Don’t get me wrong, I love a pair of daisy dukes but in these early spring days, a pair like these are definitely more appropriate.

Can we talk about this new hairdo? Truth be told, I use to wear my hair like this every single day of elementary school, so I’m still testing it out. I love how the hair is up and out of my face but still frames my face. It feels a little old-fashioned in a totally glamorous way and I was actually inspired to wear my hair this way but the latest Lilly Pulitzer catalogue. I loved how they paired classic Lilly looks with this glamorous do, so I’m excited to test this with different styles throughout the summer.

Happy Monday lovelies!
