It is officially summer in NYC and it is certainly heating up! I feel like I was just wearing a sweater last week (because I actually was). One of the reasons I love summer so much is because you can wear a dress every day to work. Dresses are my go-to because they are just so simple. You don’t have to worry about coordinating two separate pieces and they are by far the coolest.
I picked up this little dress a few weeks at Nordstrom and I’m absolutely obsessed. Navy & white is by far my favorite combo and adding a pop of pink with my purse basically makes me swoon. A simple dress like this is PERFECT for any occasion. I originally bought it for work as it professional enough, but I also knew I would reach for it on the weekends, too! This memorial day was a bit more overcast than expected and I packed mostly dresses. This dress came in clutch as it covered my shoulders and kept me as warm as possible on the streets of Southampton Village.
I accessorized this darling Kate Spade number with simple accents. I wear my monogram mostly every day as it is the perfect gold accent. It is big enough to be seen, but not overwhelming. This weekend, I officially switched over to my tortoise shell watch for the summer. I love the natural tones that pair perfectly with a tan. Lastly, my cork & navy Jack Rogers. I’ve experimented with multiple “neutral” pairs of Jacks– gold, platinum, white, etcetera. BUT, cork & navy has stole my heart. It may be because I wear A LOT of navy, but it seems like the perfect neutral for summer. Since I wear a lot of brights, I need something to bring me back to earth and it also pairs perfectly with summer solids like white or navy.
