Dress (Old Navy) ON SALE! | Tights (Nordstrom) | Shoes (Impo) | Handbag (Louis Vuitton) | Necklace (Stella & Dot) | Watch (Michael Kors)
Happy Monday! I hope you are reading this from a cozy bed and you get to enjoy this day off in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr.! This weekend I was off skiing in Vermont and have another batch of photos to share with you. BUT in the meantime, I wanted to share this ridiculously comfy business causal outfit with ya’ll.
To be honest, I wasn’t crazy about this dress at first. The cowl neck was a bit constricting and the dress was way too boxy. However, as the day went on I really made it my own and the dress grew on me. I found the perfect places to bunch it up and folded the bottom of the cowl neck inwards so it stayed open, it’s the little things that make it work. Wearing booties instead of flats or my OTK boots definitely helped the dress fall better on my body.
I’m loving burgundy this season. You know I’m all about the bright color (hello Lilly Lovers) but winter in NYC is dark and dreary so adding a few darker colors to your wardrobe is a must. Burgundy, navy, hunter green are all great winter choices if you are someone who wears a lot of color.
To accessorize I chose my Stella & Dot Aria necklace. This long double pendant piece brings a little sparkle to the cowl neck, which is usually hard to accessorize. This is one of my go-to pieces for summer, but I love the way the clear stone reflected the Burgundy hue of the dress. This was a work day so my Louis Vuitton Large Never Full was a must, fits everything from my camera, my blogger planner, my laptop and so, so, so much more.
Hope you all enjoy your day off and the fresh layer of snow we have in NYC!
