Yesterday, something big happened! My cousin, Brandon Murtagh, released his first EP (extended play) called With The Tide. I may be biased, but these four songs are exactly what your summer was missing and I’m so excited to share them with you.

A little background real quick! My cousins are like brothers and sisters to me, so when something happens to one of us, it happens to all of us. So, this is basically blowing up my phone, inbox, social media, etc. And I couldn’t be prouder!

Each song is inspired by growing up on Long Island and I just love how Brandon described the playlist, “a fun, breezy, 15-minute drive to the beach.” Enjoy these summer tunes and share, share, share!

1| Restricted Streets: A song that encourages listeners to step outside of their comfort zone and live the life they want to live. While this lifestyle may feel lonely at times, listeners will be reminded that there are people rooting for your success and happiness.

2| Sandy Feet + Nintendo: Inspired by one of Brandon’s favorite memories as a teenager on Long Island. He and his friends would wake up and head “out east” to spend the entire day at the beach, but by sunset, they would find their way back to a friend’s cool basement to play video games.

3| Riptide: I think this one is my favorite! It is a collection of inner thoughts and oceanic metaphors that describe a classic love story. This song is about letting ourselves be totally encompassed by another and leaving our comfortable, familiar shore behind to swim into someone else’s world

4| The Sun Will Settle Things Down:  A melody about finding solace for our stressful lives in the sun. This song will make listeners appreciate good company and the blessings that typically go unnoticed.

Can’t get enough?! Listen to Brandon’s songs on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal.
