Dress (ASOS) | Tights (Berkshire) | Bag (Chanel) | Shoes (Christian Loubitans)

Happy Monday! How happy are you to have a short week this week? I know I am more than ecstatic. Leading up to Thanksgiving week is always stress city, but I’m hoping we start to pump the breaks this week as we gear up for our Thanksgiving feast.

I like to think of this week as the final week of Fall. The final week before the holidays start and winter begins. As much as I’m devastated that my favorite season is over, I’m SO excited to start singing Christmas music and wear gold glitter 24/7. In the next few weeks, keep your eye out for gift guides and style how-tos to sleigh this holiday season!

What I’m Wearing

Dress (ASOS) | Tights (Berkshire) | Bag (Chanel) | Shoes (Christian Loubitans)

How fabulous is this dress! It’s pink, velvet, includes ruffles AND bows, basically my dream come true. When I saw this on the ASOS website, I knew immediately that I had to have it. It is the perfect balance between glamorous and classy, making it destined for ThePreppyMAG.

Since this dress is such a statement, I choose simple accessories to keep the focus on the dress. Less is almost always more and with this over-the-top dress, less was definitely more.

Since the neck of this dress was still quite open, I had to wear some sort of necklace, so I choose pearls. Pink velvet and pearls make for a perfect combination, but I can also see myself opting for my monogram with this dress in the future. Slight touches of gold would be GORGEOUS.

Black and pink is such a classic match. I love the contrast between the velvet shimmer and the matte black bag, tights and shoes. This elegant look is so striking, so you really need to OWN it. I could also see myself pairing this dress with bare legs and some black OTK  heeled boots (seriously been killing myself trying to get my hands on a pair of these!). If I had a guess, I’d say this is a look that is coming to the blog soon.

This look is so striking, so you really need to OWN it. Get your best prep on and wear the hell out of this pink velvet. If you are looking for a reason to wear this baby, I’d say NYE is the PERFECT excuse.
