This weekend, Tom and I discovered this quaint bistro Florian and we are obsessed! After we ate brunch at Barbounia, we were looking for somewhere to just enjoy Valentine’s Day and a few mimosas. We stumbled across Florian in Union Square and they had an unlimited special! For only $20 you received unlimited bellinis and mimosas of your choice. Florian’s special included strawberry, raspberry, peach and orange bellinis. I mostly drank the peach bellinis and they were AMAZING! I also had a few sips of Tom’s Orange bellini and they were FANTASTIC, as well.
My favorite part of Florian was the adorable ambiance. I loved how they had a little bar section where you could either sit at the counter or in small two person booths that allowed for more intimate conversations. The beautifully ornate decor was also amazing, I was completely transported to anywhere but New York. I felt like I was in Italy or France, or some other beautiful country where the champagne flows freely.
Even though we were only there for drinks, the service was great. We didn’t even have to ask and they kept pouring those mimosas and they never even cut us off. I totally understand that restaurants need to cap the bottomless mimosas after two hours, but if you don’t cut me off you KNOW I’ll be coming back soon.
I was super bummed that we already ate when we arrived at Florian because the menu looked incredible. They have a full-lobster pizza, case closed we’re going next week!
