Shirt (J.Crew) | Leggings (Old Navy) | Boots (T.J. Max) UNDER $40 | Bag (Kate Spade) | Necklace (Stella & Dot) | Bracelet (Stella & Dot) | Watch (Michael Kors)
Ya know when you want to be preppy and edgy at the same time? I seriously feel this way ALL THE TIME, especially in the winter. It really is a catch 22, although classic preppy styles will always have my heart, it’s hard not to pick up some the latest edgy trends. This is why I often mix preppy styles (like this crisp oxford) and edgy pieces (like leather leggings— UNDER $50).
This has actually become one of my go-to outfits lately. It is professional enough for work but also so comfortable because….leggings duh! I seriously never wear pants anymore!
I always love a classic oxford shirt, always so versatile but this one is especially special because of the perfectly stitched sequins along the seams. Of course as soon as I saw this, my 10-year old, sparkle obsessed self went crazy! Since sparkles can be a little much, I always pair this oxford with black leggings, and in this case leather leggings! Even though I usually hate the black and blue combination (reminds me of a bruise), this ensemble goes well due to the grey metallic buttons down the center of the oxford.
Let’s accessorize! First thing first, I know its terrible to have a black hair elastic on your wrist for pictures, BUT are you really a girl if you don’t have a hair elastic on your wrist– so just get over it. Otherwise, I paired this outfit with my classic stack– including my Michael Kors gold watch and an the Stella & Dot renegade bracelet (a totally must-have!). I also chose my gold & black Legend pendant from Stella & Dot, matching perfectly with the black metallic buttons and leather leggings. Even though it’s not typically my style, this necklace is one of my favorites of the Fall collection– I seriously find myself picking it up ALL THE TIME. Lastly, I wore my black leather OTK boots, talk about all black errethang. I really prefer wearing these babies with this outfit but it was far, far, far too cold!
